Interveinal fields of younger leaves brighten whereas the veins remain green. With ongoing deficiency youngest leaves turn completely yellow.

Symptoms of manganese deficiency are yellow mottling between leaf veins and crinkling of the young and medium leaves. Furthermore leaves roll or curl upwards.
